The Pine Ridge Horror has been Released!

Welcome to Pine Ridge National Forest
The Pine Ridge Region is a large territory of heavily forested ridges, buttes, and canyons, stretching across northwest Nebraska and into South Dakota. On the South Dakota land is the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, home to the Oglala Sioux Nation.

The Pine Ridge is densely covered in pine trees, with cottonwoods and other deciduous trees in the canyon bottoms. The buttes and canyons are quite rocky and the trails can have treacherous footing. A person can, and hikers often do, get lost on these trails, sometimes for days before stumbling across other campers or the park rangers. Along with smaller animals such as rabbit, squirrel, and chipmunk, the area is also home to larger game such as bighorn sheep, elk, mule deer, and wild turkey. A few prairie rattlesnakes also make their home here.

Two boys, hiking deep in the Pine Ridge Forest, stumble upon a ravaged camp and make a gruesome discovery. The remains of five campers, ripped limb from limb, partially eaten, and scattered about the area; turned into a feast for the flies, insects, and larger scavengers. Hearing a “roaring” from the nearby hills, the boys quickly fled the camp and made their way to the nearest Ranger station, nearly a half a day’s hike.

This adventure requires only the Savage Worlds Core Book to play. Other toolkits, supplements, or setting trappings may be used depending on the flavor the GM wishes to add to the adventure. This is the perfect adventure to run if you’re camping, love the outdoors, or are a fan of early 80’s slasher flicks.

• 16 pages of adventure
• A full color map of the main adventuring area
• Bookmarks for easy access to the PDF every step of the way

Wellstone City is open for business!

Part of the plan for Wellstone City from its inception was to have it be a player mutatable setting, which means it’s fleshed out enough to run any thing you wish in it and let you populate it with your own locations and people. However, there are almost 2 dozen locations and some important NPCs included in the Setting book, on top of the 14 boroughs.

But, to be completely honest with you, I live in a town of 11,000 people and not including Minneapolis, MN or Omaha, NE I have never been in a city with over 200,000 people for longer than 48 hours. If I had populated the city completely it just would have felt forced, fake, and killed some of the fun.

With that in mind, players (and GMs, because hey, they’re playing too) are encouraged to send in their locations, people, and ideas for what they put into Wellstone City. So this will become the official locations around Wellstone thread for all you Savages. So submit! Get credited for what you include, and share it with everyone so they can enrich their Wellstone Experience!

Either send them to us via the website here, put them up on the Savage Worlds forum Savage Worlds forum or on our Facebook Wall.

Put your own stamp on Wellstone and get credited in what will become an annual Wellstone City Update!

Just a little update….

It’s been a while since a page update or a product release, so we just want you to know that we’re still up and kicking. We have a few new product releases to hit in the next few weeks, and we’re gearing up for the fall Con season in the midwest and we’ll release our schedule here in the next few days. Kevin also just had an interview with the Ron and Veronica of Smilin’ Jack’s Bar and Grill, and Kevin was also talking with Sean Patrick Fannon during the episode as well. We will definitely link to that podcast as soon as it is available.

For those of you who don’t follow us via facebook, you should. That is our most faithful news outlet and we have a growing number of fans that get regular updates on our product releases. Why not be one of them?
