We’re now on the final day of the Ingenium Second Edition Kickstarter. We still have over two thousand dollars to go, and at the rate we’re getting new backers, we’re not going to make it.
That hurts. It hurts a lot. However, it won’t kill Ingenium.
I love Ingenium, and not just because I’ve spent so much time on it. I think it’s a fantastic system that fills a void in the world of tabletop gaming. As with any game system, it has its flaws, but I think the merits far outweigh the problems.
The Future of Ingenium and Eiridia
We’re currently working on a number of possible futures for the Ingenium system and its fantasy setting, Eiridia. Before we share that with the world, we want to polish our options and vette some of the possibilities. Suffice it to say, regardless of what happens with the Kickstarter, Eiridia will live on as a supported product line. Ingenium’s fate is a little more in flux, but it’s definitely not going away any time soon.
A Darkness at Summerfort
Those of you who are ardent supporters of Ingenium, thank you! We want to do right by you, and one of the things we are absolutely going to do is re-release A Darkness at Summerfort with new art, new layout, fully Second Edition-compliant rules, and a print edition.
And if the Kickstarter miraculously succeeds?
In the event that the Kickstarter succeeds, we’ll definitely be having a big party to celebrate. We’ll follow that up with a ton of renewed energy, all of it focused solely on making Second Edition the most amazing RPG product we’ve ever published. We have so many new ideas from the micro-goals that we’ll have a much bigger and better book than we originally thought… and because we’ve been working on it the entire time the Kickstarter has been running, it won’t push back our deadlines at all.
Regardless of what happens, thank you for your support. Without you, we wouldn’t be able to do this at all. You’re the reason we’re able to keep writing, to keep making awesome games. Thank you.
